In Spain, table grapes are grown on trellises or on vines, the yields obtained by vine cultivation (varieties Italia, Napole\u00f3n, etc.) are higher than those obtained by trellis cultivation (varieties Aledo, Italia, etc.). Although table grapes are not a soil-demanding crop, they have a preference for deep, well-drained soils.<\/p>\n
When talking about Vinalop\u00f3 Bagged Table Grape, we would necessarily have to refer to the cultivated surface area and the municipalities that produce it with the Vinalop\u00f3 Denomination of Origin. Some 10,000 ha are cultivated and include the towns of Agost, Aspe, Hond\u00f3n de las Nieves, Hond\u00f3n de los Frailes, Monforte del Cid, Novelda and La Romana; and municipalities such as Mon\u00f3var, Petrer, Pinoso, etc. also have small areas dedicated to this crop.<\/p>\n
Vinalopo’s bagged table grapes, protected by the Denomination of Origin, are always grown in a trained vineyard or on a trellis. The number of plants per hectare shall be a maximum of 3000 ft\/ha for trellis training and 1200 ft\/ha for vine training.<\/p>\n
